Bachmann
Record sales in anniversary year
Bachmann electronic, a global automation supplier, has achieved record sales in its 50th anniversary year.
With growth of over 25% (the plan was around 15%) to €88 million, Bachmann electronic was able to significantly exceed the targets it had set itself in the 2020 financial year despite the coronavirus crisis and the associated challenges in production and logistics. Neither short-time working nor state aid were an issue. In order to meet the high demand, production was carried out in multiple shifts throughout the year, thus creating the conditions for the increase.
Growth drivers last year were once again applications in the field of renewable energy generation and, despite global stagnation due to the pandemic, growth in the maritime sector.
In 2021, the Feldkirch-based company will continue to focus consistently on strategic growth markets. In January, for example, another Asian branch was opened in Korea (Busan). The acquisition of the German company Indalyz Monitoring & Prognostics was also completed in January. The company's team for predictive and preventive condition monitoring now strengthens Bachmann's monitoring division with scientific expertise and additional know-how.
For the current year, Bachmann electronic intends to further expand its position in the strategically important market for regenerative energy supply. Particular attention will be paid to the development of offshore projects.
