... of the robot is the control system: a controller processes the data from several sensors. From this, it calculates how the four wings must flap in order to make the complicated yet stable flight maneuvers possible. The wings move up to 17 times a second, sometimes in opposite directions. They are powered by two electric motors. The integrated battery is sufficient for a flight duration of five minutes, during which the robot can cover a distance of around 1 km.
