The Panel PC FlatClient HYG from Kontrol has a maximum protection class of IP69K and was developed in accordance with the EHEDG guidelines (European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group). It is therefore qualified for applications in sensitive hygienic areas and the robust basic design should also enable operation directly next to dirty production machines. All variants have a smooth, seamless display surface for easy cleaning. With IP69K protection, the new panel PC is also suitable for washdown applications, such as high-pressure cleaning. Its PCAP touch display can clearly distinguish legitimate control inputs from interference, such as the impact of water droplets or the accidental pressing of the entire palm of the hand, even when operating with gloves. Thanks to its symmetrical design, the 21-inch Full HD display can be operated in both portrait and landscape format. Display sizes from 15.6 to 23.8 inches are already planned. In addition to two Gigabit Ethernet connections and up to four USB 3.0 ports, two COM interfaces, a serial interface, Profibus, CAN and other fieldbus connections are also available. Integrated WLAN ensures wireless networking and integrated RFID for contactless authentication. The device is designed for fanless operation at temperatures between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius.
