They identified the automation of big data processes (65%) and predictive and prescriptive analytics (54%) as the most frequently used AI applications at present. On average, the companies surveyed have been using AI technologies for two years and have invested USD 6.7 million (around EUR 6.2 million) in AI in the last year. AI is mostly used in the IT department (69%), followed by operations (34%), business development (33%), marketing (29%) and sales and customer service (28%).
