ABB achieved strong order and sales growth in 2018. Total order intake increased by 8 % (14 % in US dollars. Similar growth trends in order intake were observed in all regions. Service orders grew by 7 % and accounted for 19 % of the Group's total orders.

Sales improved by 4% to USD 27,662 million. It increased in all divisions, driven by the strong performance of the Robotics and Drives division and robust contributions from the Electrification Products and Industrial Automation divisions. The service business achieved an increase in sales of 7% (12% in US dollars) and contributed 19% to total sales.
