Dr. Holger Schmidt teaches digital transformation at TU Darmstadt, writes books and columns for Handelsblatt and is the inventor of the platform index. As a business editor, primarily for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, he has followed the digital transformation closely for two decades. His main topics are the platform economy, artificial intelligence and digital business models. In the 1990s, the economist wrote his doctoral thesis on the welfare effects of climate protection.
