Leoni
Group Management Board strengthened
Leoni is strengthening its Board of Directors: Dr. Ursula Biernert will join the management board as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Labor Director and Ingo Spengler as Chief Operations Officer (COO) on February 1, 2022.
Dr. Ursula Biernert (52) has spent key stages of her career in the automotive industry at Volkswagen and Porsche in an international environment. After another stint on the management board of the Thales Group, she was appointed to the DB Cargo Board of Management in 2013 with responsibility for Human Resources and as Labor Director. As CHRO at Leoni, she is responsible for all processes relating to the management and development of the workforce - currently around 100,000 employees worldwide - as well as the position of Labor Director. Dr. Biernert will also be responsible for Ethics, Risk, Compliance and Sustainability as well as Corporate Real Estate in the newly created Human Resources Board department.
Ingo Spengler (49) has been Head of Operations in the Wiring Systems Division (WSD) at Leoni since January 2021. He previously held positions at Faurecia, Magna and Volkswagen. His appointment to Leoni's Group Executive Board reflects the growing importance of complex supply chain management for the company, particularly in the wiring systems business. As COO, Ingo Spengler will, among other things, continue to drive forward the standardization and digitalization of processes in the global production network, particularly with a view to the production of future generations of wiring systems. He will also be responsible for the areas of Value Chain Management and Quality Management & Safety/Health/Environment.
