New Features for Drives
The Combivert F6 drive controllers and the S6 servo drives from KEB Automation are getting new features. Among other things, users can expect features such as DC connectivity, CAN cross-communication, Profidrive and a new dashboard.
The requirements of customers in the plant and machinery manufacturing industry have been incorporated directly into the development process. Faster drive-to-drive communication is made possible by the new firmware for the F6 and S6 drives, which includes CAN cross-communication. This enables direct data exchange between the inverters, without the »detour« of the data via the control system, for example. Profidrive will soon be available for KEB inverters of the ‘Application’ variant and defines the device behavior as well as the access procedures for device data for electrical drives on Profinet. As an add-on for ‘Combivis’ – the software tool for the KEB Drive Controller – the new dashboard is available for customers. This offers a quick and simple option for obtaining an overview of the Drive Controller status.
