Gefran
Up to 12.5 m measuring range
Gefran has extended the measuring range of the 'GSH-A' series so that the latest draw-wire sensor in the range can realize a stroke of 10 to 12.5 m.
Like the other sensors in the series, the multivariable draw-wire sensor combines a non-contact linear position sensor and a MEMS inclination sensor for ±180° measurement of individual Z-axes in one housing. With a resolution of 0.1 mm for the linear position and 0.1° for the inclination angle, it ensures high measurement accuracy and precise monitoring of these values, according to the manufacturer. Hall effect technology is used for the position sensor. The Gefran sensor acts as a measuring transducer that changes its output voltage in response to a magnetic field and outputs it as a signal. Together with the MEMS microelectromechanical system in the inclination sensor, this mode of operation enables a compact sensor design. Thanks to the extended CANopen signal output, the sensor can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems. It meets protection class IP67, is shock and vibration resistant and works in a temperature environment of -40 to +65 °C.
