3rd place - Vega

Last year,Vega focused on its Vegapuls 6X radar sensor for continuous level measurement of liquids and bulk solids. According to the product information, the sensor works in a process temperature range of -196 to 450 °C and ambient temperatures in the range of -40 to +80 °C. The beam angle is 3° depending on the antenna. The measuring range extends up to 120 m, the typical range is 25 m. More...

Florian Burgert, Product Manager Level at Vega, brought the sensor along for the interview and uses the exhibit to explain the functions and certification that make the winning product unique.

2nd place - ifm

The pressure sensors in the PI1xxx series from ifm are mainly used in the food industry and meet all current hygiene requirements. They are certified in accordance with EHEDG and FDA, among others, and comply with protection class IP69k, so that daily cleaning with a high-pressure cleaner is no problem. The sensors use a capacitive ceramic measuring element and are therefore extremely robust - neither abrasive or corrosive media nor vacuum or pressure peaks can harm the sensor element. More...

The sensors in the PI1xxx series work reliably even under pressure. Robert Mönnig, Product Manager for Pressure Sensors at ifm, is delighted with the award and provides further insights into how the sensor works.

1st place in the sensor technology category

1st place: Baumer - PAC50 process sensor

1st place - Baumer

The PAC50 process sensor from Baumer measures conductivity in the smallest of spaces and is therefore particularly suitable for small production systems, for example in the food and pharmaceutical industries as well as in industrial applications. The sensor is the 'little brother' of the 'AFI4/5' with a 60 mm long sensor housing, the display has been limited to 32 × 25 mm. Thanks to the one-piece design of the sensor tip, it is less stressed by large and frequent temperature fluctuations. More...

Baumer is delighted to have won first place in the 'Sensors' category. Martin Leupold, Strategic Product Manager Process Sensors, explains the functions that ultimately secured 1st place for the process sensor.
