Youth research 2017Young researchers selected
The winners of the 2017 national final of Jugend forscht have been announced: at the end of May, Federal Education Minister Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka presented awards to the best young researchers. Computer&AUTOMATION presents the national winners in computer science and technology, including special prize winners.

The winners of the special prizes in the 52nd round of the Jugend forscht competition for young scientists: Tilman Hoffbauer (17) was awarded the prize for his work in the fields of science and technology. He has been working on incompatible file formats that ruin screen presentations. His 'SimplePresenter' is based on a miniature computer that is plugged directly into one of the projector's ports. A laptop that is prone to interference is therefore no longer necessary. The file can be selected via a touchscreen and you can click through the slides quickly and easily.
