Protected against water jets and dust
The safety relays in the 'Tethys IP65' family from Zander Aachen include the Tethys IP65 SR safety relay and the Tethys IP65 KR safe coupling relay. Their housing functions as a mini switch cabinet and requires no additional protection.
Thanks to the IP65 protection class, the devices from Zander Aachen are protected against dust and water jets, allowing them to be used directly on the machine. Both device variants support all the functions of the familiar basic models 'SR3C' and 'SK3D' and have been updated with the latest safety standards. The reinforced insulation between the NO release current paths and to SELV networks in accordance with EN 60664-1, overvoltage category III, ensures safety and flexibility. Thanks to the integrated signaling contact (NC) and the 24 V (DC) semiconductor signaling output, users are informed of the operating status at all times. The manual start input only reacts to falling edges, which enables the start button to be monitored. Tethys IP65 SR enables connection to control systems and sensors with OSSD outputs as well as classic single and dual-channel emergency stop buttons. Safety integrity level 3 (SIL3) in accordance with IEC 61508 and performance level e (PLe) in accordance with ISO 13849-1 are achieved. The Tethys IP65 KR also fulfills SIL3 and PLe. Both versions are also certified in accordance with EN 50156-1 and are therefore suitable for use in combustion plants. The IP65 Safety Relay is equipped with internal, safe overcurrent monitoring, which enables the connection of tactile sensors such as safety mats and safety edges. Both versions are equipped with M12A and M12S coded connectors as standard, compatible with IO-Link and common emergency stop buttons.
