Inka Krischke,

Automated condition monitoring

The 'Xi 410' infrared camera from Optris combines features of infrared cameras and infrared thermometers. It has a Fast Ethernet interface and can be supplied via PoE.

The integrated 'Auto hotspot finder' function reliably measures the temperature of moving objects without the camera having to be readjusted by Optris. If the network connection fails or there is a problem with the connected PC, the camera performs its task fully autonomously and ensures a seamless alarm in the event of a detected problem. This feature makes it suitable for safety-relevant applications in the field of preventive fire protection or condition monitoring on machines and systems.

In addition to the Ethernet interface, there is also a USB 2.0 interface for configuring important parameters and a direct 0/4-20 mA analog output. Via an external process interface, up to nine freely definable measuring fields can be further processed as analog outputs (either 0/4-20 mA or 0-10 V) or output as alarms via relays.
