Inka Krischke,

AI agent for autonomous ERP

Unit4 has launched 'Advanced Virtual Agent (Ava)', a proactive, dialog-driven agent that acts as a central interface for artificial intelligence (AI) and coordinates and automates ERP workflows.

As an intelligent work companion that seamlessly integrates with 'Unit4 ERPx' and Microsoft Teams, Ava enables effortless collaboration and provides personalized recommendations and immediate, contextual support, according to the vendor. Ava is designed to transform workflows into smarter, more adaptable and user-centric experiences, enabling users to focus on tasks that can only be done by humans and increase productivity with less effort. Unlike other agent-based AI approaches, this solution acts as a single, centralized access point to ERPx and provides unified support to promote consistency and oversight for users.

Initially, Unit4 will integrate Ava into Microsoft Teams, as this tool is widely used by customers. However, the roadmap envisages that other collaboration tools will also be integrated in the future. The AI agent understands natural language conversations in Microsoft Teams and translates them into specific tasks that need to be completed in ERP workflows.
