Fiessler Elektronik presents the XLVT safety light curtain system for large operating ranges. The safety light curtain consists of a light transmitter and a light receiver with integrated switching device. Ranges of up to 10 m can be achieved for finger protection and up to 30 m for hand protection. Thanks to the modular technology of the transmitter and receiver, all protective field heights between 100 mm and 1900 mm are possible in 100 mm increments. The system is available as type 2, PLc, SIL 1 or type 4, PLe, SIL 3. Large-area guarding can also be implemented with deflecting mirrors, for example. The intelligent safety system is available with an integrated evaluation unit that includes the programmable EDM (External Device Monitoring) and restart interlock functions.
