Two CPUs extend the 'Slio' system from Vipa. With the 'Vipa Slio Product Configurator', users can choose from two hardware variants with a total of 24 configuration options and generate the exact CPU that suits their application via the VipaSetCard (VSC). The '7100DEV' Speed7 chip from the company's subsidiary profichip increases the access times of its predecessor. It is paired with the 48 MBit/s backplane bus, which, in conjunction with ETS modules, can switch with a timing accuracy of +-1 µs regardless of the fieldbus. Intelligent memory management makes it possible to expand the CPU memory to up to 512 kByte (depending on the version) during operation. In addition to an RJ45 Ethernet interface for PG/OP communication, a PtP interface for serial protocols and a Profibus-DP slave are available as standard.
