The LASAL development platform from Sigmatek now supports SFC programming (Sequential Function Chart), also known as step chain programming. It is one of the five standardized programming languages according to IEC 61131-3. The graphical sequence language is particularly suitable for machine and process sequences that repeat cyclically, especially for more complex process-oriented applications, as the graphical representation clearly displays the sequence. The modular, object-oriented engineering tool works with client-server technology. LASAL users can now choose between sequence language, structured text, ladder diagram, instruction list (all in accordance with IEC 61131-3) and the high-level language C when programming their application.
