Wenglor has added the wireless models CSLH001 and CSLH002 with Bluetooth version 2.0 to the previously wired hand-held scanners 'FIS-H21' and 'FIS-HS41X'. The scanners capture printed, needled, lasered or embossed 1D and 2D codes in industrial environments. Bluetooth wireless technology increases the operating range of the scanners to around 10 m and enables wireless data transmission to any other system participant with a permanently installed Bluetooth interface. This means that the scanners can easily transfer the data they collect to the host computer, tablets or smartphones for further processing. The new models are identical to the versions in the FIS series: fast alignment and detection of 1D and 2D codes with an alignment aid are also among the features, as is a reading distance of between 38 and 394 mm. The readers have a comprehensive feedback tool that appeals to three senses at once: once a code has been decoded, the scanner provides immediate feedback to the user by means of a vibration, an audible tone and a visual signal. With IP54 protection, the devices are protected against splash water and cleaning agents, for example, and can therefore also be used in hygienically clean environments. With a resolution of 1280 × 960 pixels, the scanners working with red light exceed the industrial standard for code readers, according to the manufacturer. The robust plastic housing enables work at temperatures between -20 and +50 °C.
