Wibu-Systems presents the CmCard/CFast as a memory card with 'CodeMeter' protection. The highly secure SmartCard chip stores cryptographic keys and implements functions for integrity and know-how protection as well as flexible licensing. Data can be stored and retrieved on the mass storage device at up to 300 Mbit/s (SATA II). The memory card is available with capacities of 2, 4, 8 and 16 Gbyte. It is designed for an extended temperature range of -25 to +85 °C as standard and checks this with integrated temperature sensors. NANDFlash management mechanisms detect internal bit errors at an early stage and take appropriate action. The data can be evaluated via the S.M.A.R.T. protocol. Thanks to the power fail protection, no data is lost even if the power supply is unexpectedly interrupted.
