With the
PowerBox 1280, Spectra is adding a variant with high graphics performance to its series of industrial high-end compact PCs. The system supports up to three independent displays and can be equipped with the Gainward GeForce GT 640 graphics card. The PowerBox 1280 is equipped with an Intel Core i7 (QM77) Ivy Bridge processor. This makes it suitable for image processing, process automation or multimedia applications. A cooling system specially developed for the Spectra PowerBox series consisting of a heat pipe in combination with a slowly rotating, temperature-controlled fan ensures a low internal temperature. A PCIe(x16) expansion slot is integrated; the PowerBox is optionally available with two PCI or two PCIe(x8) slots (model 1280P). Instead of the PCI slots, two removable drives with RAID 0/1 support or a Blu-ray/DVD drive can be installed. The system is equipped with a 120 GByte SSD as standard and has the following I/O interfaces: 1 × DVI, 1 × HDMI, 1 × VGA, 3 × RS 232, 4 × USB 2.0, 2 × USB 3.0, 2 × Gigabit LAN, 3 × audio. The wide-range voltage input enables a supply from 9 V(DC) to 36 V(DC) and has a configurable power ignition input signal (for vehicle and battery operation, with deep discharge protection and switch-off delay after switching off the ignition). The system can be supplied with pre-installed Windows 7, Windows XP or Linux.
