The new Platform 2.4 from Eplan is designed to simplify data acquisition with optimized PLC data management and ensure consistency between electrical engineering in hardware project planning and PLC programming. Communication units can now be configured as bus connections instead of having to list and separately define all networks on a communication unit. It is also possible to record the associated data for the communication protocols during the configuration of the communication networks. The graphically generated and structured bus data can be exchanged bidirectionally with the common PLC programming systems of the leading suppliers. This means that structures and data are identical in programming and project planning.
