A key feature of the
RVG200 paperless recorder from ABB is the use of touchscreen technology. With the intuitively operated icons or by 'swiping' across the display, users can quickly access the required data, which can be displayed individually and in groups, as a diagram, bar graph or as a digital display. For example, thermocouples, resistance thermometers or other transmitters with mV or mA output and digital signals can be connected directly to the maximum of 24 analog inputs. With a sampling rate of 125 ms and galvanic 500 V channel isolation, these inputs provide highly accurate measured values for the connected process devices. The process inputs meet the requirements of the AMS2750E standard, meaning that the paperless recorder can be used for recording temperatures in heat treatment processes in the aircraft and automotive industries. The device has a USB port on the front and back to connect various peripheral devices, such as storage media, which can be used to transfer data to the 'DataManager Pro' software for evaluation. For batch applications, the associated texts and batch numbers can be entered using a USB barcode reader. The standard 100 Mbit Ethernet interface enables integration into a system network.
