Maximilian Reif (left) and
Michael Stark(right). They have designed and built a quadrocopter from scratch: from the carrier frame to the electronics and control technology through to the intelligent flight software. The so-called 'Safecopter' has a carbon frame and therefore has a particularly favorable ratio between weight and load capacity. The low weight makes it particularly maneuverable and enables long battery life. Vibrations are generated at the boom ends by the motors. The carbon frame absorbs these very well and favors the precision of the inertial sensors and attitude control. The aircraft is also able to protect itself from collisions and pilot error via autonomous self-protection functions. The movement, or rather the representation of this ...
