Simon Meister from Michelstadt in Hesse. He notes that in computer games, the lifelike simulation of moving liquids, such as a bubbling waterfall or a spilled coffee cup, brings the computing power of PCs to their knees. Meister developed a method with which he can simulate the flow of liquids and the erosion of surfaces in real time. He uses the PC's graphics card as a parallel processor. With his software, the student can melt ice and flood mountain landscapes without slowing down the fun of the game.
