The FR-E700SC-EC frequency inverter from Mitsubishi is equipped with the "Safe Torque Off" (STO) safety function and a new safety terminal block. STO prevents unplanned restarts in accordance with ISO 13849-1 Category 3/PLd and EN 62061/ IEC 61508 SIL 2. The function deactivates the output signal to the motor without draining the energy from the inverter. The terminals with screw contacts in the removable terminal strip have been replaced by spring-loaded terminals compared to the previous FR-E700 model. This increases user protection and also speeds up wiring. The FR-E700SC can be operated in vector control mode, in sensorless current vector control, in V/f mode or in optimum excitation control mode. Two motor outputs are available from 0.1 to 2.2 kW (1~ 230 V) and 0.4 to 15 kW (3~400 V).
An integrated USB port and a built-in operating display make it easy to use. For easier installation, the FR-E700SC is available together with the FR configuration software. In addition, the guided shutdown prevents possible machine damage after a power failure. A selection of plug-in cards enables integration into networked production environments and connection to CC-Link, Ethernet, Profibus, Devicenet and Lonworks.
