Harting is expanding its Industrial Ethernet portfolio with Profinet cables. The 4-pair cables enable an increase in data rates from 100 Mbit/s to up to 10 Gbit/s. The cables are available in two versions: In addition to type A for fixed installation, type B is offered for flexible installation. While the Profinet cable for fixed installation uses wire inner conductors, the variant for flexible installation uses tinned stranded conductors to ensure mobility. The outer sheath of the PiMF versions (pair in metal foil) is made of green PVC in accordance with the Profinet directive. The 4-pair Ethernet cables achieve EMC separation class d in accordance with EN 50174-2 and therefore withstand the increased lateral pressure requirements in industrial environments. They are also flame-retardant and UV-resistant.
