The
dual GigE and
Camera Link cameras from Baumer's
HX series are available with new firmware. The previous functionality has been expanded to include features such as HDR (High Dynamic Range), Multi ROI and improved FPN correction (Fixed Pattern Noise). Revision 3 of the CMOSIS sensors is also supported. The Piecewise Linear Response method is used for HDR recordings. It enables a maximum dynamic range of 90 dB in a scene, which simplifies the inspection of shiny surfaces, for example. The integrated multi-ROI function (Region of Interests) enables the transmission of several sections from one image. According to the manufacturer, this allows the high frame rate to be utilized even with reduced bandwidth. Both horizontal and vertical image sections are processed. Thanks to integrated FPN correction, the cameras offer very good image quality with low noise, according to the company. The cameras have global shutter sensors from CMOSIS with resolutions of 2 and 4 megapixels at up to 337 fps.
