Remote IO system Antares from Bartec
© Bartec
The Antares remote I/O system from Bartec can be connected to any standard control system using various bus systems (Profibus-DP, Profinet, Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP). The system is certified in accordance with the current ATEX and IECEx directives and is installed directly in hazardous areas in zones 1+2 or 21+22. Thanks to the intelligent approval concept, flexible system approval has been obtained so that system manufacturers can now plan and design their system themselves and install it in a mechanically protected standard industrial housing in accordance with the general installation procedures for potentially explosive atmospheres. An Ex system type plate is included in the manufacturer's scope of delivery. Up to 32 multi-channel modules can be supplied via a single Rail Control Unit (RCU). The RCU is the central unit of the system with host communication, Ethernet switch, power management and I/O data management. The system is hot-swappable, meaning that modules can be changed while the system is live.
