Leuze electronic is expanding the range of applications for its RFID components with stationary and mobile read/write devices for the UHF frequency band. The devices operate in the frequency range from 0.3 to 3 GHz (UHF) and thus enable greater ranges, such as those required in intralogistics for forklift detection, loading gate assignment, load carrier management and pallet tracking. The compact RFU-61SL100 read/write device is designed for ranges of up to 1.5 m and speeds of up to 6 m/s, while the RFU-81SL100 variant is designed for ranges of up to 5 m and up to 10 m/s. These stationary devices can be used immediately in many applications with their factory settings and can be adapted even more precisely to the application scenarios via the PLC using character strings. Combined barcode (1D/2D) and UHF devices are available for mobile RFID applications. All devices support the EPC1Gen2 standard and can be flexibly networked via various connection units. RS 232 and interfaces for Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, Interbus or Multinet are available for the individual stations.
