For monitoring systems that do not require automation or control functionality, EES has developed a solution that allows SMS messages to be received and processed directly in the control technology. The station consists of an MFW PLC telecontrol unit with an integrated GSM modem. It can forward all information to the control system via the existing IEC interface in the 101 or 104 standard. The PLC functionality makes it possible to use GSM fault indicators from EES as well as devices from other manufacturers. The programming of the PLC allows flexible interpretation of the messages and any assignment of the data to IEC addresses.
