The CD75M safety encoder from TR-Electronic provides safe position and speed values in openSafety format and can be connected directly to Powerlink networks. It is available with SIL3/PLe certification and does not require external safety modules and their programming. The encoder determines safe values for position and speed by cross-comparing double scanning sensors and processors. These are output via the openSafety protocol. During project planning, parameters such as differential and standstill windows, direction of rotation or integration time are set directly via the safe parameterization channels. As Powerlink uses the black channel principle, safe data can be transmitted in the form of openSafety packets via the same medium as the process data. The encoder also offers electronic adjustment (preset); this function allows the current position value to be adopted as the new actual value.
