With the VPD-132 and VPD-133, ICPDAS presents compact touchscreen operating terminals with integrated HMI software that allow the display of measured values and setpoints for process control as well as the on/off switching of actuators. The measured values are transmitted from I/O modules, PLCs or IPCs; information is exchanged between the connected devices via an RS485 interface using the Modbus RTU protocol. The 'VPD-132' is supplied with two serial connections, the 'VPD-133' has one RS485 and one Ethernet as well as PoE. The operating terminal can be installed either on a DIN rail or with a wall or housing panel; operation is possible in a temperature range of -20 to +70 °C. With its 3.5-inch IP65 dust and water-protected color touch display and five programmable rubber operating buttons, the device is particularly suitable for controlling automation processes in buildings, factory halls, machines or in the home.
