Authorized distributors made visible online

Lapp is expanding its digital service portfolio and is the first B2B industrial company to provide its authorized distributors with a verifiable online seal from authorized.by. The company aims to create more transparency and security for buyers and at the same time strengthen trust along the entire supply chain.

The authorized.by platform is part of the TÜV Saarland Group and offers companies a digital real-time seal of approval that identifies online stores as authorized trading partners of brands. The seal is integrated directly into websites, marketplaces and online stores and is available to both suppliers and customers of distributors. With just one click on the seal, it is possible to check whether the partner is officially authorized. Verification takes place in real time and is based on a centrally maintained, tamper-proof database.

Lapp is thus meeting a key challenge in industrial purchasing: the reliable identification of verified sources of supply in globalized and digitalized markets. "Especially in technically demanding applications, quality, authenticity and traceability - i.e. the certainty that the products are original Lapp products - are crucial. By using the authorized.by seal, we are creating a new form of digital security for our customers," says Manuel Richter, Head of Digital Business Development Component Sales EMEA at Lapp. "They can immediately see whether a supplier is part of our authorized network. This makes it much easier to select reliable suppliers and reduces risks in the procurement process." Stefanie Gutscher, Digital Sales Project Manager at Lapp, adds: "We are very proud to offer our distributors a service that provides their own customers with greater transparency, visibility and security in the digital environment."

For customers, this means above all a significant simplification in their day-to-day work. Authorized sales partners are immediately recognizable by the seal and a check can be carried out quickly and easily if necessary. At the same time, the risk of unintentionally purchasing from unauthorized suppliers or dealers with counterfeit products is minimized - risks that can have considerable quality and liability consequences. The clear visibility of authorized distributors also helps to make product traceability transparent, efficient and secure.

There are also advantages for Lapp's sales partners: they can make their authorization visible and thus position themselves clearly in the market. In an increasingly digital competitive environment, this strengthens credibility and contributes to long-term customer loyalty. According to authorized.by, they also benefit from improved findability in digital search and comparison processes, which generates additional visibility. "Our goal is to make trust measurable and visible in the digital space," explains Felix Nottensteiner, CEO of authorized.by. "The partnership with the Lapp Group shows how much potential there is in structured and data-driven retailer management. Together, we are creating real added value for online retail in the B2B sector," continues Mr. Nottensteiner.
