Made from polycarbonate, the PW protective windows consist of a frame with a continuous hinge and a transparent cover and can be mounted quickly and flexibly on a wide variety of switch enclosures and control panels. Fibox now offers the UL/cUL-listed, NEMA 4X and IP66-compliant HMI covers in five sizes. In addition to the two variants in 452mm x 400mm and 342mm x 295mm format, the 88mm deep protective windows are now also available in dimensions of 291mm x 243mm, 393mm x 345mm and 503mm x 451mm. All five models offer an impact resistance of IK09 when closed and are suitable for temperature ranges between -40 and +80°C. Thanks to the large viewing area, the covered switching, display and control components can be easily observed at all times. Thanks to the internal height of 85 mm, key switches are also securely protected. The frame and window are fitted with a foamed-in PUR seal on the rear. For installation, the frame is simply positioned around the operating elements and fastened on the inside with eight screws. The frame provides a clean all-round seal with the housing underneath without any further measures. The safety windows are fitted with two double-bit locks as standard.
