Lapp founds company in Taiwan

On January 1, 2026, the Lapp Group assumed operational responsibility for the cable business, which was previously managed by the DKSH Business Unit Technology, Taiwan. With this strategic agreement, Lapp establishes its own company in Taiwan.

Matthias Lapp, CEO of the Lapp Group, says: "With its strong position in high-tech manufacturing - especially in the semiconductor, electronics and automation industries - Taiwan holds great potential for Lapp. We see significant opportunities to supply these state-of-the-art manufacturing environments with reliable, high-performance connectivity solutions. By establishing this strong local presence, we are underlining our commitment to customer focus and our local-for-local strategy."

Lapp and DKSH Taiwan have enjoyed a long and fruitful partnership for more than 15 years. DKSH is a Swiss holding company specializing in market expansion services, providing sourcing, marketing, sales, distribution and after-sales support services primarily in the Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America regions. Matthias Lapp says: "We are delighted to welcome DKSH's cable distribution business to the Lapp Group and our global team of more than 5,700 employees. Together we will continue to grow."

Lapp Taiwan is based in Taipei and Taoyuan and employs more than 10 people. Both companies have agreed not to disclose the financial details of the transaction.
