Compact design with mounted strands

Binder is expanding its M12 portfolio to include flange connectors with a continuous M12×1 mounting thread, which are now equipped with mounted stranded wires. In addition to the previously available dip soldering variants, this version is now available in a second connection type.

Applications in automation technology, such as process automation, sensors and actuators as well as robotics, are addressed. Here, the flange part is particularly suitable for space-saving installation in confined spaces, as it can be attached directly from the front. As part of the product redesign, Binder has integrated a new sealing concept in which the connector body is pressed into the flange connector sleeve on the connection side rather than the plug side, as was previously the case. This means that the seal is created on the front of the sleeve instead of on the collar of the plastic plug body. The flange plug sleeve made of lead-free brass has a special inner contour to securely hold the built-in plug in place. This contour also acts as an anti-twist protection for the built-in part.
