Rainer Waltersbacher complements management
The Freiburg-based radar specialist Ondosense is expanding its management team: co-founder Dr. Mathias Klenner is now managing the company together with Rainer Waltersbacher, former Managing Director of Vega Grieshaber.
Waltersbacher (56) will be responsible for business development and sales at Ondosense as Co-Managing Director, while Klenner will focus on innovation and finance. As co-founder and Technical Director, Dr. Axel Hülsmann will continue to focus on technological development.
Prior to his appointment as Managing Director at Ondosense, Waltersbacher held various management positions at international sensor manufacturer Vega Grieshaber for many years. From 2017 to 2022, he was Managing Director of Vega Grieshaber, responsible for development and production. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of Supfina Grieshaber, a Grieshaber Group company in the field of special machine construction, from 2008 to 2016. From 2000 to 2008, Waltersbacher was Head of Marketing and Product Management at Vega Grieshaber.
Ondosense realizes radar sensor technology for a digitalized industrial world. With sensor solutions based on precise, robust radar technology and smart sensor software, the company supports customers in obtaining important data for the intelligent control of production systems and machines. Ondosense was founded in 2018 by two radar experts from the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics IAF.
