New generation of Profinet IO encoders
Kübler presents a new generation of industrial Ethernet encoders that differ both technically and mechanically from existing fieldbus encoders.
Thanks to the new technical platform, for example, the Sendix F58 Profinet IO encoders can also be easily integrated into Profidrive networks. With this generation of devices, the fieldbus cover has also been replaced by a new design, which saves additional installation depth. The encoder's size of 58 mm remains unchanged. The encoders meet various performance requirements thanks to Profinet IO, RT and IRT. According to Kübler, they are 4x faster than the old generation of industrial Ethernet encoders, which is noticeable with a cycle time of 250 μs and thus meet high real-time requirements. The Profinet encoders support clock-synchronous cycle times of a SendCycle of up to 31.25 μs and a jitter <1 μs. The Profidrive profile enables interoperability between different controller and drive manufacturers. Thanks to the integrated web server, users can access the encoder directly without additional software and start parameterization.
