The WV3650M and WH3650M absolute rotary encoders from the second generation of Siko's 3 mm series are compact and, thanks to their new architecture, interfaces such as IO-Link and smart features, are a solution for Industry 4.0 machine concepts.

The iC-BL bridge module from iC-Haus has a versatile I/O port. This enables several interfaces to be assigned in parallel. On the control side, BiSS line communication is coordinated via the integrated BiSS C or SPI slave interface, so that transmission paths can be realized in many applications. The flexibility is supported by a supply voltage range of 5 V, 7 V or 30 V, an on-chip DC/DC converter for generating a sensor supply of 2.5 V, 3.3 V or 5 V up to a maximum of 200 mA. The 5 mm × 5 mm QFN28 housing also contains a non-volatile OTP memory for the device configuration. Additional sensor data, for example from an I²C temperature sensor, can thus be integrated into the cyclical data transmission. The bridge module can also be implemented as a transmission channel between several microcontrollers. The RS485 transceiver for differential communication is already integrated. The error correction allows communication even in harsh environments with electromagnetic interference fields and enables corrections of up to 4 bytes.
