The market volume for robotic exoskeletons is expected to rise to 12.5 billion US dollars by 2030. This is one reason for automotive supplier Mubea to get involved in the production of exoskeleton pioneer German Bionic.

At the beginning of this year, German Bionic presented the fifth generation of the 'Cray X' robotic exoskeleton at the CES in Las Vegas, announcing its entry into the US market. Since then, the German company has been growing in North America. With additional locations in Japan and, more recently, the UK, the robotics company is focusing on western industrialized countries that are suffering from a structural shortage of skilled workers for demographic reasons, particularly in the field of manual labor. Here, the intelligent power suits are intended to improve working conditions and prevent strain and the associated illnesses and injuries. Demand for German Bionic's exoskeletons is particularly high in so-called system-critical infrastructures, such as logistics and production, but also in the care sector, for example. Mubea will now help to secure the increasing demand for the coming years

"Like Mubea, German Bionic is a successful German company with high-tech products that are in demand worldwide, albeit at an earlier stage. Nevertheless, our intelligent Cray X power suit is already the most advanced robotic exoskeleton on the market today," says Armin G. Schmidt, CEO and co-founder of German Bionic. "In line with the global demand for our cutting-edge technology made in Germany, we are now scaling up production for the growth markets of the USA, Europe and Japan together with our partners at Mubea."

Dr. Thomas Muhr, Managing Partner of Mubea, who is the fourth generation of his family to run the company. "Over the past decades, we have developed into a top automotive supplier with our products for chassis, body and powertrain. Together with German Bionic, we are now expanding our new micromobility division to include the future field of robotic exoskeletons."
