Change of managing director at Agilox
Agilox has a new top management team: Helmut Schmid will take over as CEO from January 2022.
Helmut Schmid succeeds the previous CEO Franz Humer. He will continue the company's strategy of further expanding the AMR manufacturer's global market share. As the sole Managing Director of Agilox, he also adds three new authorized signatories to the management team: Josef Baumann-Rott, Klaus Pucher and Robert Mayer.
Helmut Schmid was Head of Germany and Western Europe at cobot supplier Universal Robots for many years. Most recently, he was Managing Director of the German cobot pioneer Franka Emika in Munich. The graduate aircraft engineer has also made a name for himself as co-founder of the German Robotics Association (Deutscher Robotik Verband e.V.) and the company Robotics Ventures.
The previous CEO Franz Humer is moving to the Agilox Board as Executive Chairman and is preparing the next steps in the company's overall strategy - particularly in terms of product development and building up the USA.
Agilox is a provider of intelligent driverless transport systems. The intralogistics robots are developed and manufactured exclusively at the headquarters in Austria, where around 100 people are currently employed.
