Multimeter for hazardous areas

With the 'MTX 3297Ex', Chauvin Arnoux is launching an intrinsically safe multimeter for continuous use in potentially explosive ATEX environments.

The multimeter from Chauvin Arnoux is ATEX and IEC Ex certified for zones IIC (gases) 0, 1 and 2, IIIC (dusts) 20, 21 and 22 and mining M1 and can therefore be used permanently in all areas of the oil, chemical and pharmaceutical industries as well as in mining. Other features include a large, backlit display with 2 x 60,000 digits and a red, encased housing that protects against impact. There is also a terminal strip with connection recognition, only one connection with automatic switchover to current measurement when connected to A input and warning of dangerous voltages. It measures voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, diode, frequency and temperature with a resolution of 60,000 digits and a bandwidth of 100 kHz. The isolated optical interface in conjunction with the 'SX-DMM' software enables data evaluation in real time, and the device can also be controlled, updated and maintained remotely.
