Software management in the cloud
With the 'OrchestrationSuite', SEW-Eurodrive provides a cloud-based platform for central software management in automation technology.
Automation software is managed, versioned and backed up across systems, locations and manufacturers. Software backup and provision (software backup and distribution) are carried out via integrated tools or modern backup pipelines, even for entire product areas such as controllers, drives and robots as well as for different types of software, without having to open the engineering environment. Backups via FTP/SFTP are also possible without manufacturer APIs. The cloud-based architecture allows access via web browser without local software installation. Engineering environments are provided in the cloud. Communication with the field devices is encrypted via VPN. Standardized APIs enable functions such as software distribution, backup, version management, code comparison and remote access - regardless of the engineering environment.
