Modularization in production
The concept of modularization is increasingly being adapted for industrial sectors with a high degree of automation.
Copa-Data will be presenting two different practical examples of modularization at the Hannover Messe. Using a standardized information model (Modular Type Package, MTP), various components and modules are digitally linked to form a production system according to the modular principle, making the system design more flexible.
At the joint ZVEI stand, Copa-Data will be presenting its MTP/POL project for laboratory automation at Merck, in which laboratory setups are implemented in a modular and digitalized way. The company will be demonstrating how MTP can be used in a maritime environment at the joint VDMA stand. Here too, MTP can make the automation of processes and the integration of sensors and actuators more flexible.
