German automotive supplier Bosch is investing over 100 million euros in a new plant in Mexico: a new smart factory for electronic components is to be built in the city of Celaya in the state of Guanajuato by 2019, creating 1,200 additional jobs.

In total, the Bosch Group is currently represented in Mexico with around 16,000 associates and all four business sectors. The new location in Celaya is expected to add another 1,200 jobs in the coming years. Bosch is represented by all four business sectors in Mexico and achieved annual sales of 1.1 billion euros in the Mexican market in 2016.
