Continuous condition monitoring helps to detect impending failures at an early stage, maintenance work can be planned and downtimes reduced. In the packaging industry, this is often achieved through time-consuming PLC programming.

An alternative is condition monitoring with the SeGMo system from Lenord+Bauer. In contrast to approaches in which cycles are counted and compared with the predicted service life, here the positioning drives are permanently monitored. The system-independent, modular 'SeGMo-Box' enables remote access as a decentralized control unit. The user can access the system via a web server. This optionally provides a separate communication channel that makes the relevant data available independently of the real-time bus. This protects the runtime-critical system control from being influenced by remote access. The user can select the relevant status data from the positioning drive system data provided on the web server and visualize it using the web application supplied.
