The OPC UA server implemented in each case enables users to exchange data on a platform-independent basis using TCP. This simplifies networking in accordance with Industry 4.0. The OPC UA server receives its data via the symbol configuration of the 'Combivis studio 6' development tool and communicates with suitable OPC UA clients from different manufacturers that provide and receive the same data structures. According to the manufacturer KEB Automation, the optimized processor performance enables users to solve synchronous motion control tasks.

A standard micro UPS, in conjunction with four independent mass storage devices for the operating system, runtime environments, non-volatile data and user applications, make both devices robust and reliable systems.
In addition to integrated real-time control, the smart IPCs can handle visualization and also offer integrated remote maintenance functions.
