Youth researchYoung scientists honored
A robotic sparring partner for boxing training, the Internet of Things for the home or a camera that always shoots blur-free films thanks to motors and position sensors - the creativity of the young researchers at the 51st national finals knew no bounds. Now the winners have been announced.

The intelligent cocktail machine 'Lazybar' by Jonas Autenrieth (19) and Nikolai Braun ((17)) mixes different cocktails quickly and precisely at the touch of a button. Via an LCD display and menu structure, the user can choose from a constantly updated range of drinks, which are mixed from up to ten possible ingredients. The young researchers researched bars and designed a user-friendly housing. They selected the appropriate components - including special dosing pumps and turbulence technology -, designed circuit diagrams and circuit boards and programmed the automatic processes: from the detection of glass sizes and fill levels to a constant mixing ratio and 150 recipes to the maintenance procedure and billing system.
