Flexible IO-Link Class A master

Turck is expanding its IO-Link portfolio with the 'TBEN-L-8IOLA' Class A IO-Link master. The Ethernet block I/O module in the robust TBEN-L housing offers eight Class A IO-Link master ports.

Class A ports are often preferred for connecting smart sensors, as their digital channels and voltage levels are clearly separated. Each of the eight sockets alternatively provides two universal DXP channels that can be used as input or output - the universal module thus offers up to 16 channels. The current carrying capacity of 2 A on pin 2 of all ports also enables the supply of actuators with increased power requirements.

As a Turck multiprotocol device, the master can be used in Ethernet networks with Profinet, Ethernet/IP or Modbus TCP without user intervention. Further multiprotocol features such as a switch for line topologies and a web server are integrated. Like all other IO-Link masters in the TBEN series, this module also features the simplified IO-Link device integration SIDI (Simple IO-Link Device Integration) and the IODD configurator in the web interface.

The Ethernet block I/O module is available in two versions: with L-coded M12 connectors or 7/8 inch 4-pin circular connectors. With a temperature range of -40 to +70 °C and IP67 and IP69K protection, the I/O module is also suitable for harsh environments.
