Saving space in the switch cabinet

The unmanaged Industrial Ethernet switches in the 'e-light-100-5' series from eks Engel are available in two different versions: With eight copper-based TX ports or six TX ports and three fiber optic-based SFP slots.

The TX ports are equipped with RJ45 sockets and enable data transmission at 10/100 Mbps over distances of up to 100 m. Fiber optic transmission is ideal for longer distances. The SFP slots provided on the eks Engel switch can be equipped with various transceivers for single-mode or multimode transmission. Equipped with three fiber optic ports, not only line topologies but also star topologies can be set up in applications. The Industrial Ethernet switches are designed for top-hat rail mounting in the control cabinet. With an operating temperature range of -40 to +70 °C, they are also suitable for harsh environmental conditions. The 18 to 32 V(DC) power supply can be redundant. LEDs on the front of the device signal data transmission on the various ports. Another LED lights up red when only one power supply is active.
